UPDATE: Welsh Government pulls out of Gilestone Farm scheme
The Welsh Government has decided not to go ahead with proposals to lease Gilestone Farm to the Green Man music festival organisation.
Economy Minister Vaughan Gething said the presence of a pair of nesting ospreys at the farm meant the Green Man’s plans for the site could not be realised.
The Stop Gilestone Farm Project campaign is pleased to hear that the Welsh Government is reconsidering plans for the site at Gilestone Farm. We have always been concerned that the environment and landscape is of paramount importance, and the appearance of two osprey has been testament to the exceptional habitat and wildlife in this area.
